Morrine Ware dream was to open a restaurant. With the help of her husband Sonny, In 1965 they opened SONNY'S RESTAURANT. The biscuits were not a part of the original menu. Morrine Ware decided to make them one morning as a treat for their loyal customers. They loved them so much and begged her to make them daily. That is how they became a staple for the restaurant and the city. When she passed, the city approved a resolution to rename the street behind the restaurant in her honor to memorialize its gratitude for her civic engagement and business acumen, which are huge components of her lasting legacy.
